Panasonic RT2B-series: TH-P46RT2B and TH-P42RT2B

Panasonic has introduced the world’s first all-in-one Full HD 3D TV line-up called the RT2B series which combines a built-in blu-ray disc drive with a built-in HDD in the TV. The new series consists of two PDP TV combos with the models the 46-inch TH-P46RT2B and the 42-inch TH-P42RT2B. Both two models in the RT2B series have:

  • Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution
  • Full black PDP plasma panel
  • A native contrast ratio of 5 000 000:1
  • 500 Gigabytes of internal HDD storage with the possibility of recording both 2D and 3D video
  • Built-in Blu-ray player with support for 3D playback
  • A terrestrial 110CS digital TV tuner
  • Three HDMI ports
  • One D4 port
  • DLNA certification which allows the use of Skype and chat

The models also comes with Panasonic shutter glasses to experience the 3D, which is available in different sizes (S, M or L) and is rechargeable via a USB port. The models from Panasonic’s RT2B series; TH-P46RT2B and TH-P42RT2B will be released on August 27th in Japan with a suggested retail price of 5 076 $ USD and 4 499 $ USD respectively.
